Habeo is the IT asset management and CMDB platform built specifically for higher education, replacing ServiceNow ITAM at universities with native Jamf, Intune, and Google Admin discovery, Workday-driven lifecycle management, and GASB 34/35-compliant depreciation. We're hiring a Solutions Architect to own the technical relationship with prospective and existing university customers — translating complex campus IT environments into successful Habeo implementations.
This role is 100% remote. Habeo is remote-first and accepts applicants located anywhere in the world.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary technical resource during the sales cycle, scoping integrations with MDM (Jamf, Intune, Google Admin), HRIS (Workday, Banner, PeopleSoft), and identity systems (Shibboleth, SAML SSO)
- Design and validate migration plans from legacy asset systems such as ServiceNow ITAM, Asset Panda, EZOfficeInventory, Snipe-IT, or Lansweeper
- Lead technical discovery calls with CIOs, asset managers, and CISOs to map institutional requirements to Habeo's data model
- Own the technical narrative in security and compliance reviews, including walking customers through HECVAT responses and platform architecture
- Partner with product and engineering to relay field requirements and edge cases from complex, decentralized university IT environments
- Support onboarding and parallel-run cutover for new customers, ensuring data integrity through historical import and mapping
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in a solutions architect, sales engineering, or technical implementation role for a B2B SaaS platform
- Hands-on experience with system integrations (APIs, SSO/SAML, SCIM) and data migration projects
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive audiences
- Experience scoping and supporting enterprise or institutional software implementations
- Comfort working directly with customers in a founder-led, high-touch sales motion rather than a heavily scripted process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with RFPs, security questionnaires, or compliance documentation
Nice to have
- Prior experience in higher education IT, ITAM, CMDB, or asset management platforms
- Familiarity with Workday, Banner, PeopleSoft, Jamf, or Intune
- Experience with GASB, FERPA, or federal grant compliance frameworks
