One ledger for everything you hold.
The institutional system of record for every laptop, license, lab instrument, AV rack, and capital asset your university owns. Custom fields the way your fleet actually exists. Tag printing without a vendor SDK. Every-row search at the speed of muscle memory. The history you can hand an auditor on the morning they call.
Two ways to know what you own.
A list where the meaning is in a person's head.
Your asset register is an Excel sheet (or a ServiceNow ITAM tenant configured by a consultant who left two years ago). It works until the asset manager goes on leave. Then nobody can answer the audit question.
A ledger where the meaning is in the schema.
Categories, custom fields, relationships, audit history, college-unit scope, grant linkage — all first-class. The product survives turnover because the data model encodes the policy.
The asset list, queryable by anything.
48,217 endpoints. Filter, search, group, export. Habeo Copilot translates natural language to filter chips in the URL — bookmark it, share it, never re-type it.

The detail view, with history that runs.
Six capabilities buyers ask about first.
24 default categories, extensible.
Hardware, software, lab instruments, furniture, capital equipment, AV, network, vehicles, library equipment, art, and 14 more. Add categories per institution from /settings/asset-taxonomy.
Custom fields per category.
Define per-category fields ("Calibration due" for instruments, "BMI rated 2x" for AV, "NSF award number" for grant equipment). First-class: searchable, filterable, exportable, Copilot-aware.
Tag printing without a vendor SDK.
Brother QL-820NWB, Zebra ZD420, and standard Avery sheets supported. Bulk print queue at /assets/print. QR-code variants ship for scanning workflows.
Universal search.
⌘K opens the global query bar. Type a tag, a person, a department, a custom field — Habeo finds it. Free-text falls through to the NL-query translator; complex filters compose into a sharable URL.
CSV import with column mapping.
/assets/import handles the migration from spreadsheets and legacy ITSM tenants. Dry-run validation, column mapping, idempotent re-runs, and per-row error surfacing keep the import auditable.
Full history per asset.
Every state change preserved with timestamp, actor, source (UI / Copilot / MDM sync / Workday event), and the diff applied. No hard deletes; "delete" is a soft transition.
A ledger your security review will sign off on.
Immutable audit on every change.
Every create, update, transfer, and disposition is signed into the same append-only ledger that backs the rest of Habeo. Auditors get one place to look.
College-unit RBAC on every row.
A Westmark asset manager sees Westmark assets. A Riverpoint asset manager sees Riverpoint assets. A config_admin sees all. The scope is enforced server-side, not in the query.
Read API in JSON or CSV.
Every asset, every field, every history event is queryable through the Habeo Read API. Federal-property and GASB roll-forward are first-class export formats.
FERPA-aware on student equipment.
Student-employee assets recognized as a distinct attribution. PII handling in custom fields and exports respects FERPA scope.
Soft-delete only.
No hard deletes from the UI or the API. The audit trail captures every "retired" or "disposed" transition; the row is preserved for audit recovery.
Assets, answered.
The questions buyers ask in every procurement review. Answered briefly, with the technical detail your CIO will ask for next.
What can Habeo track?
Do we need to migrate everything before we start?
Can we add custom fields?
How does asset tagging work?
Can users see only their assigned assets?
What about historical data?
Bring last quarter's asset register.
On the demo call we'll import a sample of your current asset list and walk every surface — list, detail, search, history, exports. 30 minutes, founder-led, no SDR triage.
