Habeo is the IT asset management and CMDB platform built for higher education, replacing ServiceNow ITAM at universities with native Jamf, Intune, and Google Admin discovery, Workday-driven lifecycle management, and GASB 34/35-compliant fiscal tooling. We're hiring a Product Designer (UI/UX) to help shape the interface our customers rely on to run audits, track assets, and manage their institution's technology footprint.
As Product Designer, you'll work closely with engineering and product leadership to design workflows for a complex, data-dense B2B platform used by IT asset managers, controllers, and grant administrators.
This role is 100% remote. Habeo is remote-first and accepts applicants located anywhere in the world.
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end user flows for core product areas like the asset ledger, CMDB graph viewer, and audit/reporting tools
- Translate complex data models (assets, people, departments, grants, software licenses) into clear, usable interfaces
- Build and maintain a scalable design system/component library
- Partner with engineers to ensure designs are implemented faithfully and performantly
- Conduct user research and usability testing with IT asset managers and other end users
- Iterate on designs based on customer feedback and usage data
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience as a product designer working on B2B or SaaS applications
- A strong portfolio demonstrating UX process and high-quality UI craft
- Experience designing for data-dense, workflow-heavy products (dashboards, admin tools, or similar)
- Proficiency in Figma or equivalent design tooling
- Ability to work closely with engineers and translate designs into shipped features
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting design rationale to stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience designing for compliance-heavy, regulated, or enterprise IT audiences
- Familiarity with designing graph or relationship-based data visualizations
- Experience working at an early-stage startup
